Recommendations for the Patagonian Tourist

Every traveler who has decided to come to Patagonia will feel, while visiting, a great sensation to occasionally participate in its natural majesty. It is difficult, but very recommendable, that you take only what is necessary in terms of equipment, since some of the places you will be visiting will be for only one day, and heavy equipment becomes difficult to transport. In order to know what to take, we here offer you some information about Patagonia: geographically, we are located in the southern hemisphere, and the further south you go, the climate gets colder. If we come across snow, sunglasses will be important due to the reflection. The clothing must be comfortable since many parts of the trip will be on foot. The clothing must be the least informal and most comfortable possible. If you take a cruise ship, it will be convenient, for dinner, to take minimally formal clothing. And as a final suggestion, it is convenient to limit yourself to one bag per person.


The Argentine currency is the peso ($), and in general, all stores accept American dollars; but it is always convenient to carry a little of the local currency. You can exchange currency in banks or exchange houses. If you use any other currency, it is recommendable that you change it to pesos.
