The extense
territory of this province is bathed by the Atlantic Ocean to the east
and by the Andes Mountain Range to the west.
Between
different areas, it presents very different panoramas: mesetas, the
great central plain, canyons, valleys and proliferate zones near the
rivers. Toward the west, the landscape changes, offering one-of-a kind
opportunites: the Perito Moreno National Park and Glaciers, with a framework
of the imposing mountain range.
Here we
find the Cerros Chaltén and Torres, ideal for treking and mountain
activities. It also has a large lake area, perfect for fishing. Important
findings of rupestrian paintings are located in the valley of the Paint
River, Petrified Forests in Jaramillo, and a very special landscape/seascape
in the Estuary of Puerto Deseado.
