The city of El Calafate is located in the southeastern part of the province
of Santa Cruz, 315 kilometers from the city of Río Gallegos,
and 959 kilometers from Comodoro Rivadavia. It is an excellently picturesque
place, located at the foot of the Cerro Homónimo and on the banks
of Lake Argentino. It was declared World Patrimony of Humankind by UNESCO,
being the world's most accesible constantly advancing glacier area.
Some have called it the Eighth
Wonder of the World.
The activities that one can participate in to enjoy the glacier are
varied: from walks over the footbridges and navigating among the ice
floes until arriving to the very base of the glaciers, to a more active
participation, treking over the ice, on top of part of the glacier.
We have different programs of different durations, with the possibility
of being combined with other destinations of great interest like El
Chalten, Cerro Fitz Roy and Lago del Desierto.
