El Chalten
is located to the southwest of the province of Santa Cruz and is located
460 kilometers from the city of Río Gallegos, where one can connect
with the Provincial Routes 5 and 23 and National Route 40. It is a small
enclave, close to the Continental Ices and it offers a panorama of singular
beauty where the legendary mountains stand out, the Cerro Fitz Roy or
Chaltén, and the Cerro Torres.
El Chalten
offers different activities, being the national treking capital. It
is the chosen place for climbers from all over the world, being the
Cerro Chaltén or Fitz Roy, with its 3405 meters of imposing granitic
needles, a permanent challenge for all who feel the need for adventure.
