Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, located at the edge of the Glaciar Beagle. Nearby, we can observe mountains, rivers, lakes, and deep valleys. We navigate through the Beagle Channel. |
|
The Los Glaciares National Park has been declared by UNESCO as Natural Patrimony of Humanity. The Glaciar Perito Moreno is 4 kilometers wide, 195 kilometers long, and 60 meters high over the level of Lake Argentino. It moves slowly over the bottom of the lake to produce the phenomenon known world-wide; the process of the rupture of this glaciar ocurrs when it advances over the Peninsula of Magellanes until it forms a natural dike of ice that blocks the passage of the waters from the Brazo Rico to the Canal de los Témpanos. In any epoch of the year, the constant caving-in of the glaciar astonishes the visitors as the towers of ice fragment into ice floes. Once at the glaciar, its majest impacts the tourist, who through flights of steps or footbridges can obtain different views of the Glacier, all of them unforgettable. |
| UPSALA ONELLI LAKE EXCURSION: During the morning hours, leaving from the port of Punta Bandera, we navigate through the Brazo Norte of Lake Argentino. The navigation takes place among spectacular huge ice floes of different shapes. We are also able to see the Upsala and Onelli Glaciers. We get off at Bahía Onelli, where we walk approximately 800 meters through a forest until arriving to Lake Onelli, a small mirror of water with a countless number of ice floes that break off of the three glaciers. We return to the port in the late afternoon. | ![]() |
| At the foot of the Cerro San Lorenzo, 3700 meters in height, we will lodge on a Patagonian ranch. Where we can observe the flight of the condors. The only place in the world where a human being can easily locate a condor's nest. |
| CUEVAS DE LAS MANOS: We will lodge in a Patagonian ranch so that the following day we can visit the Caves of the Painted Hands (declared as "Cultural Patrimony of Humanity" by UNESCO), looking over the Canyon of the Río Pinturas (The Paint River), with a depth of more than 150 meters. Due to its surrounding geographical environment and the quantity of archeological discoveries in the area, it is calculated that this is the most important discovery of Rupestrian Paintings. Here, we can observe the rupestrian paintings which date back 9000 years, and which have been exposed to the environment, the light of the sun, and the climatic conditions. These paintings are symbols which include hands in negative and positive relief, guanaco hunting scenes, and a great variety of silhouettes and geometrical shapes, all with the spectacular surroundings of the Canyon which provokes an unforgettable experience. And in the evening, you will be able to enjoy a good Patagonian barbecue, the asado. | ![]() |

The
same way that the English naturist Charles Darwin did it in 1834,
we will explore the Estuary, navigating in modern seacraft. The Ría
Deseado Natural Reserve, due to its geological formation and its fauna,
is one of the most important reserves on the Atlantic Coast. We will
see first-hand a diversity of species in their natural habitat, like:
sea wolves, five different species of cormorants, Magellanic penguins,
realices, biguas, southern seagulls, oysters,
antarctic pigeons, petrels, groups of dolphins, etc. which come together
to make the Estuary a true natural treasure.

We will visit Cabo Dos Bahías, inhabited by one of the most diverse marine bird colonies in the entire world and one of the largest continental penguin colonies, with almost half a million birds. Here we observe a constant coming and going from and to their nests, an activity which increases in the morning and at sunset when it is cooler. At a distance of only a few meters, we can observe how they fight for their homes. Behind them, a line of penguins cut across our walkways--where we must move carefully in order to not bother them--towards nests further away from the beach. |
